I want to be a musician!
One of my frustrations growing up was to be a well-known musician. My parents and I tried everything that we could just for me to be able to attain that dream. But I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I was not really just gifted in the voice department. Oh well, that's life. You can not have everything that you want to have. You just have to be content with what is given to you and make the most out of it.

I can't sing either. [Although i make a great BOOZING type of singing and I don't need the booze]. I can't play an instrument [but some say I do have musical wind when it blows hard enough] AND thus I went into being a DJ and also because of my dad's choice use of NAUGHTY WORDS at home I was able to be an ADULT PARTY DJ at the ripe old age of 15 yrs old. [now age 62]

Very deep words...I am a musician and as well of a musician as I'd like to tell you, I cannot sing (I can follow music of course, but the timbre of my voice just isn't worth listening to). However, somehow I believe you are a great singer, but that has to do with skill which has to do with effort. You have skills because you've put forth the effort. Talent is not the most skilled person (although Kenny has put forth tremendous time/effort practicing), but what makes his (Kenny G) skills worth $$ is creativity--talent is simply the ideas to come up with song after song, album after album of NEW material...so you're right--some things are just meant to be so like you said: Make the most out of what you have & be happy with it...hope this helps!
