I have a Schenkelaars alto saxophone. It was purchased in the 60s by my grandmother for my uncle. I started with that one and used it and a Yamaha in High school. Now my daughter is in 5th grade and starting band. I did some googling for that brand because I was once told that it was a pro series and a collectors item. I realy did not want to send it to school with her but it is in much better shape. Not one loose key and three pads that may giver her some problems. I took it in to see if the local store could tell me any info about it. All the guys at the store are too young to have herd of it, however they did like the condition it was in and said that it does not look like any other brand's form. When we got them out and played them last night that one had a much richer and fuller sound. Could anyone tell me anything about these.
